Data Privacy Notice For Candidates and Employees

  • Manpower UK Limited processes your Personal Data (1) to provide you with job placement services (2) for staff administration purposes (3) to draw up statistics (4) for advertising purposes (5) for marketing and public relations purposes (of its own business and services only) and (6) for accounts and records. Manpower processes Sensitive Personal Data only if required to comply with legal obligations or with your consent. We may disclose your Personal Data to our clients, other Manpower branches, to subcontractors who perform services on our behalf, and where we are otherwise required to do so such as by court order. Personal data pertaining to you may be transferred outside the EU to locations of Manpower and to clients relevant to the services we are providing. Data Privacy Notice For Business Partners

  • Manpower UK Ltd (Manpower) processes personal information about individuals who work for the companies with whom Manpower do business as necessary: To establish and maintain a business relationship with the company.
  • Manpower may disclose personal information obtained from our business partners as needed to further the objective of the business relationship. These disclosures may be made to other Manpower legal entities, job candidates, and other business partners, subcontractors who perform services on our behalf, and where Manpower are otherwise required to do so, e.g. ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction. Manpower Website Data Privacy Practices

  • Either Manpower or third parties, such as independent auditors, may access parts of your registration information to find out about use of the website. However, any information disclosed to third parties for this purpose will be in aggregate form, meaning that your registration information will be collated together with that of other users.

What happens with my registration information?

  • When you register with Manpower you may elect to have sent to your email address information about jobs that correspond with the information you have entered or other Manpower services. The information you provide when registering is stored on Manpower's internal system and is accessed and used by Manpower's staff or other organisations in the limited circumstances set out below. The username and password you select will not be distributed to any Manpower staff or third parties and will be protected.

How can I keep my Registration Information Up-to-Date?

  • You can update the registration information you have provided to us by following the update procedure included in the registration section of the website. If you update your information, the new information will replace the old registration information we have stored on Manpower's internal system. However, if you have previously submitted a curriculum vitae (CV), you should resubmit an up-dated CV as well as updating your registration information on Manpower's website as Manpower may not check that the information you entered on the web site and the information in your CV are consistent. Note that Manpower may implement a system that allows us to check that changes to your registration information on Manpower's website are reflected in the other information Manpower may keep in the records discussed under the heading 'Curriculum Vitae' below. By registering with Manpower, you agree to this possible use of your registration information.
  • We would appreciate it if you would update your registration details and CV whenever your details change. We are reliant on you supplying us with a factually accurate and complete picture of you, your experience and requirements.

What will Manpower do with my Curriculum Vitae?

  • The Manpower web site allows you to submit your CV to Manpower either with your Registration details or directly by email to a Manpower consultant in response to a particular job offered on the site. Your CV will be stored on Manpower's internal computer system. Access to the Manpower computer system is password protected.
  • Once Manpower has obtained your CV, Manpower will enter summaries of the information contained in your CV to create a record about you on our internal computer system. Manpower may add to the information obtained from your CV with written or verbal information taken directly from you. The only information that will be added to the record about you on Manpower's internal computer system will be information that is considered necessary or helpful and is intended to assist in the recruitment process.
  • Manpower will not send your CV to organisations with vacancies for which you may be appropriate without your express consent. However, Manpower may send a profile of your skills and experience to organisations selected by Manpower. The profile would be created from your CV and other written or verbal information you have provided, but would not have any identifying information about you such as your name, contact details or the names of your previous employers. Manpower understands that if you have a rare skill, it may be possible to identify you even without the identifying information mentioned above.
